In the words of Dr S Radhakrishnan, “The end product of education should be a free creative man, who can battle against historical circumstances and adversities of nature.” Jyotirmoy School of Education, located in the midst of the lush green surroundings of Kalikapur (South 24 Parganas), is a co-educational B.Ed college established with the objective of producing well-trained Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers while catering to the needs of both urban and suburban students. The institution offers fundamental and tailor-made programmes which will suit the unique needs of prospective teachers through Internal Pedagogy comprising experience, action, reflection and evaluation. The College offers 2 years B.ED course and gives admission to 100 candidates each year. As a premiere centre of excellence, Jyotirmoy School of Education trains its students under the able mentorship of highly qualified faculty members who gives individual attention to groom the personality of each student. With an enormous campus sprawling over 22 acres, students are entitled to all modern and sophisticated amenities. The college also provides special weekend classes for online students and has successfully shifted from the brick and mortar mode of learning to online classes during the Pandemic.
